Decker Energy has a
long history of owning innovative power plants which burn a variety of
fuels
including logging residues, sawdust, mill waste, agricultural waste and
railroad ties.
- GRAYLING GENERATING
STATION ~ Recognized
with
the 1993 Power Plant Award for the use of innovative
fuel management and advanced environmental control technology, this
37.2 megawatt, $70,000,000 project is located in Grayling Township,
Michigan and burns waste wood from local sawmills and forest products
industry.
- CRAVEN COUNTY WOOD ENERGY
~ Craven
County
Wood Energy is a 48 MW biomass power plant
located near New Bern, North Carolina. This plant, commissioned in
1990, consumes
approximately 540,000 tons of waste wood per year.
- RIDGE GENERATING STATION
~ Located
near Auburndale, Florida, this 39.6 megawatt, $80,000,000 power
plant is particularly innovative in terms of its fuel sources, burning
a combination of approximately 55% urban wood waste, 35% scrap tires,
and 10% landfill gas. In 2005 we sold our interest to Wheelabrator, the
majority partner.
- CADILLAC RENEWABLE ENERGY
~ This
38 megawatt, $58,500,000 wood-fueled project is located in
Cadillac, MI. The facility burns about 400,000 tons per year of waste
wood derived from logging residues and mill waste. In 2006, along with
our former partner NRG Energy, we sold our interest.
Decker Energy is also
actively seeking new projects to develop or acquire. We look for unique
situations for generating cost-competitive electricity in an
environmentally-sound manner.

RENEWABLE ENERGY ~ Plainfield
Renewable Energy is a 37.5 MW biomass project in advanced
development located in Plainfield, Connecticut. It is planned to sell
power into the Connecticut Class I renewable market.

development in Hertford County, North Carolina
- FITZGERALD RENEWABLE
