Since 1982 Decker Energy has been involved in 14 power generating projects which are in operation.  In total, our projects have a generating capacity of over 1,000 megawatts and a capital cost of about $800 million.

The diversity of these facilities highlights the broad range of our capabilities. Six facilities are fueled by waste wood  and other waste fuels, including three projects in Michigan, and one each in Florida, North Carolina and Vermont. Eight use natural gas, located in California, Michigan and Oklahoma.

Most of these projects were conceived and developed by Decker Energy, including Grayling Generating Station and Ridge Generating Station.  Based on market needs, we envisioned the projects and completed all of the necessary development tasks to bring them to fruition.

Three of these projects were acquisitions of existing operating facilities: Craven County Wood Energy, Cadillac Renewable Energy, and Mid-Continent Power Company.  The latter two are representative of our turnaround capabilities, where we transformed troubled projects into profitable businesses through investing in capital improvements, better operations management, restructuring power purchase agreements, new fuel supplies, and refinancing.
